FireWire & USB 2.0 HS Network Interface (FUNI)

The FUNI module is a PC104+ Card that provides the FireWire and the USB 2.0 high speed interface to an industrial PC with PC104+ interface. These high speed interfaces are ideal for connections which have to carry high data streams, e.g. for connecting high speed cameras. There are 3 standard variants of the FUNI module available:

FUNI-M: Special form factor for installing into a MPL PIP. Without 3.3V switching regulator, 3 FireWire - and up to 6 USB2.0 (1 with HS capability) interfaces.


FUNI-P: PC104+ form factor for all PC104+ compatible PCs. With 3.3V switching regulator (5V only Card), 3 FireWire - and 5 USB 2.0 (1 with HS capability) interfaces. The standard interface connectors are all on board available.

FUNI-E: PC104+ form factor for all PC104+ compatible PCs. With 3.3V switching regulator (5V only Card), 3 FireWire - and 6 USB 2.0 (1 with HS capability) interfaces. The standard interface connectors are on separated prints, which can be mounted directly behind a front plate. The connection is made via special flat ribbon cables.

FIREWIRE INTERFACE

  • Flexible powering of the FireWire interface with an external power connector, supports power class 1 to each FireWire interface if the external power supply is strong enough.
USB 2.0 INTERFACE
  • LS (low speed 1.5 Mbit/s) and FS (full speed 12Mbit/s) support at all ports
  • HS (high speed 480 Mbit/s) support at one of the USB ports
  • Supports up to 1A to each USB port
ENVIRONMENT
